Totally bummed:-(

I am currently living in an apartment with Thomas...it's small...but is fine for what we need now. I have been hoping to find a home for rent, in my price range, still in Thomas's school district....I knew it wouldn't be easy. I came across this super cute house that fit everything we needed PERFECTLY!
I went out to look at it and fell in love! There were 7 other applicants that also wanted it. After waiting almost a week I found out today that I was their 2nd choice...but their first choice hasn't returned the lease agreement yet. If the owners don't hear from them by Friday then the house is mine to rent!!!
I am totally bummed that I wasn't their first choice...and have no idea why they didn't pick me first...but would assume their #1 pick had 2 incomes...just a guess:-)
This is where I have to really trust that what is meant to be will be...no matter how badly I want something...it doesn't mean it was meant to be for me:-)
I REALLY REALLY hope their 1st pick doesn't come through....but if they do it wasn't meant to be for me and Tman...not in this home...and another one will pop up one day!!!
A few more days of waiting and I will know for sure:-)
I was so excited...I drew out the layout of the home and was already planning how I would decorate it! LOL...I know I am a total dork....and quite the artist huh??

FInally - olive oil / vinegar bottles!

I have wanted these for SOOO long...but couldn't find the kind I was looking for. If you buy cheap ones they leak everywhere! and I use them all the time...so was willing the pay a little more for them. I found these at Bed Bath and Beyond...and used my 20% off to get them at a great price!! YAY...oh it's the little things in life right??

I have had this one for a while and Joel and I decided to try it out tonight. Thomas is at Church with friends...and I didn't really feel like cooking. I am SOOOO glad we did. It was AWESOME!! Will go back FOR SURE! Joel had the Crazy Noodles and I had the Yellow Curry Chicken and they were both awesome:-) We started out with the Golden Pouch which is fried wontons filled with cream cheese and crab...yum! We also had chef salad which is served with a delicious peanut dressing. If you live in the Mansfield area and haven't tried this out you really should...it's great...and affordable:-)

Happy Valentines Day 2012

Thomas is single...and asked if we could make cupcakes for him to take to his single friends...this is how he decorated them:-) lol

I put a little valentine gift together for Tman...and gave it to him before he went to school:-) I am not a huge valentines person...but I thought he would like it! Bella has already taken over the dog as her new toy!

12 on 12 - Feb 12,2012

I love doing this once a month...sometimes I forget...but I enjoy it when I don't. It's fun to look back at these down the road. This was my day on Feb 12, 2012.

10am Woke up to this sweet angel...my dog Bella:-)

11am - Getting moving around slowly but surely! It's Sunday....so it's kind of a chill day:-) Must check in on the world of Facebook:-)

12 noon - Cleaning the kitchen...I went to bed early last night and didn't finish it...

1pm - Laundry...oh just a typical Sunday....lazy...but still getting this done:-)

2pm - Pinterest - my new addiction! OMG...LOVE this site!

3pm - Thomas hanging out with me...hanging off the end of my bed...being goofy!

4pm - Heading to Moms house for Thomas to pick up the dog pooh and take the dogs on a walk for his Nana since she is out of town:-)

5pm - Pooh pocked up....dogs walked and fed....time to head home:) This is Tutus G...one of Mama's doggies! He has an eating disorder...I am NOT kidding. He will eat ANYTHING...and as much of it as is there!!!

6pm - Home just in time for the beans I put on earlier today to be done...mmm...my house smells YUMMY! Love white beans and cornbread...

7pm - Chilling out for the night....painting my nails:-)

8pm - It's SNOWING!!! So pretty! Hoping it will still be here tomorrow morning...doubt it though...it's been a very warm winter this year!

9pm - Calling it a night early....going to read a little then hit the sack. Looking forward to a great week!Oh...and yes, this is a nice sized knife on my night stand...I am not afraid to cut someone if I have to!!

Canning 101 - Here I come!!

I know I am a total dork...or getting old...crazy...or all three! I am soooo excited about my new book that came in the mail today:-)

I have been interested in learning how to can for a while...and finally decided to buy a book to teach me. I guess I will be reading this tonight instead of The Hunger Games....or Blood Game. They can wait:-)

I can't wait to see what I learn...and start canning!!! Watch our family and friends....I am sure you will be getting a can of salsa...jam...or something from me soon. Know that I learned how to do it properly and that I WILL NOT poison you or your family...on purpose:-)

GNO - Mama's B-Day!!

Britney and I took Mama out for a GNO for her B-Day! The Studio Movie Grill started this new thing where every month they play a chick flick...and it only costs $1.00 per ticket! This month they played The Notebook. Who doesn't LOVE that movie?? What a great GNO. We had a wonderful time. I am not sure the last time me, Mama and Brit all three got together and hung out like that with out children or anything. It was really wonderful...and I look forward to more times like that to share together! I love them both with all of my heart:-)

Sunday Cooking

Today has been awesome!!! I have finally spent a day doing all of the things I love to do!!!

I have been cooking ALL day and haven't even managed to get our of my pj's:-) That's the life!!! I have made: chili (split in two big portions to freeze and use throughout the week for suppers), strawberry bars (for snacks and dessert), sausage balls (because they ROCK and I haven't had them in years), fried pickles ( because I love them but have never made them), breakfast burritos (to last for the whole week), pork butt (to have for supper tonight on rolls, with coleslaw and corn).

I have always wanted to spend my Sundays cooking for the week! I hope to start doing this every Sunday.

Thomas is off enjoying the day with his BFF Chey. They are at the park filming. That boy will be a famous actor one day:-) So glad he has a friend like her. She is amazing...and they share a friendship that will last a lifetime!!!
