I Said Yes!!!!

Ok...I know it's a little late...but I have been busy planning a wedding for the past year and I am just now getting around to scrapping some of our engagement pictures. Joel proposed to me on June 17th, 2008 at midnight. It was a very special and adorable proposal. We were sitting in the living room watching TV and Joel kept giving me the weirdest looks. I kept asking him what was wrong and he said nothing. He kept asking me if I was ready to go to bed...I said...no, I am going to go smoke then I will be ready. (YES I know that SMOKING is a HORRIBLE habit and I plan to try to quit again after the wedding)...anyways....so we went outstide to smoke...We really enjoy sitting out on the patio at night. It's nice and quiet outside and the weather that night was awesome! He put his cig in the ashtray and looked over at me and smiled....I smiled back and said...what is your deal...why are you acting weird??? He stood up and got down on one knee in front of me...I about had a heart attack. I knew what was about to happen but just couldn't believe it. He had always told me that he would probably not "really" propose. Anyway...I keep getting off track...so he got down on one knee and told me that he wasn't really good at this type of thing and wasn't exactly sure what to say but that he loved me more then he has every loved anyone and wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Then he simply asked if I would marry him. Once I was able to breath again I said YES and he put the ring on my finger...we hugged and kissed...then I finished my cigg..(yeah, I know...the whole smoking thing is really messing this story up)...but that's how it went. You would have thought there were 300 people watching him when he did it. He was soooo nervous. That was the cutest thing about it. I could see in his eyes that he really meant it and that we would spend the rest of out lives together. I am a lucky woman to have such a wonderful man!

The Choice

Ok...so have been into the whole Twilight thing for a while. I just finished the third book. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the Twilight books, but I needed a break. My sister just finished "The Choice" by Nicholas Sparks and recommended that I read it. I started it last night and I can't put it down. I don't know what's going to happen yet, but I can tell you I have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT love story:-) What girl can't use a good love story...well..I am living a great love story...but still:-) If you guys haven't read this you really need to check it out. It was a good change from a vampire love story.

Busy..Busy...

Tonight I have been busy......doing mostly what I love! I have been playing with the photos I took of the Falconette Dance Team...trying to figure out the whole editing thing. Dang...it's not as easy as you would think. I know what I want the picture to look like...I am just not sure how to get it there. I figure...if I keep playing with it...I will figure it out. Here is one of the pictures I took. Britney is my friends daughter...she is the one that suggested I take the girls pictures. I edited this one a little....just enhanced the color....but I want to see what else I can do with it. I will post the result if I ever get there! LOL. Other then that I am just doing the Mom thing....homework...laundry....getting things going for the week. Gosh...what would Joel and Thomas do without me?? They would have no dinner...well maybe ramon noodles..LOL...that's no kind of DINNER..are you kidding me??? They would have no lunch for the next day...no clean clothes...the house would be a MESS! Gosh..I ROCK! Ok...I guess I needed to butter myself up today. Maybe I am feeling a little down because I can't figure out this whole editing thing. I want results NOW! I am horrible at waiting for things to happen....

Ok...so here is the after...It's not a lot different...but it looks much better...maybe you don't have to do a lot to some pictures...I will learn:-)

Joel and I had a blast putting in our new landscaping and LOVE it! I even started a little herb garden. What fun!

Lazy Day

Today was a lazy day. The sun wasn't shining...hasn't been in so long I can't remember. It was also Monday. I don't like Monday's. I love my weekends and don't want them to end...but they do...and I guess life goes on:-) The wedding is on TWO WEEKS....two weeks people...that's nuts! I really hope everything goes well...and it DOESN'T rain!! PLEASE PLEASE..God...give me this one day without rain and I will never ask for anything again:-) I have to keep reminding myself...."you are the one that wanted to get married on a boat". I guess if I was that worried about it then I would be getting married inside somewhere nice and dry! I am more worried about my guests then anything else. I want them to have a great time. Being on a boat during a huge Texas strom...fun??? Yeah...not so much! Oh well, it is what it is. What can I do? Nothing.... I am going to attempt a little more scrapbooking tonight. I am putting together a book for one of my bridal showers. It was a lot of fun and the book will hold on to great memories.
